The Hamrick family is embarking on a 40-day, 15-city, nationwide tour this summer. They'll all be taking in everything there is to see on their massive route around the country, and at each stop, Brooke will be holding a LuLaRoe clothing popup sale with a local hostess, and Ryan will be conducting large intro to hand-lettering workshops.
Ryan Hamrick is a prolific and globally recognized lettering artist and designer, having worked with clients large and small, including Google, Facebook, Hallmark, Target, AIGA, Samsung, Harper Collins, and many, many more.
His workshop covers every aspect of executing a commercial lettering project from start to finish, from research and planning, to sketching, and even some of the basic best practices of redrawing lettering in vector for the creation of final artwork. Then, for those who want to dig a little deeper, there are a more limited number of tickets available that include an extended session, covering additional lettering styles and the finer details of sketching, some advanced techniques and different approaches to vector drawing, and greater opportunity for one-on-one feedback and Q&A.
This whole trip screams "BAND TOUR", so of course, there are tour posters and even some t-shirts available. But instead of being just another stream of revenue, they've chosen to make it a little more interesting and meaningful. All the printing for these tour collectibles has been donated by local print shops all along their route, and French Paper Co. is donating all the paper. So not only are they a steal at just $10 each, but 100% of the money from those sales is going into a Curves Ahead Scholarship Fund, which will have an open application process later this year, and be awarded to an individual pursuing an education and career in the letter-based arts.
Ryan has learned many valuable lessons teaching himself this craft from the very beginning, but he still absolutely believes in the value of having access to the people and organizations teaching the art the right way and is thrilled to be able to make that a reality for passionate students who share the same dreams he has.
Brooke was the first LuLaRoe retailer in Austin, and now she's a coach with over 200 ladies on her team. She has one of the largest inventories of anyone in Central Texas, and is bringing every last piece of it along for the ride. She'll be having popups in each city, with local ladies hosting and organizing the party. These will be can't-miss events with some amazing pieces available.
